Dr. Karen Jacobson is a board-certified Infectious Diseases physician and a Research Scientist at the Vaccine Study Center at Kaiser Permanente Northern California. Dr. Jacobson obtained a bachelor of arts in Human Biology from Stanford University and a doctor of medicine and master of Public Health from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine/HIV Primary Care at the Yale-New Haven Hospital and her fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Stanford. Dr. Jacobson’s research is focused on epidemiology, prevention, and long term sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 and other vaccine-preventable infections, particularly in pregnancy.
