Thibaut Davy-Mendez, MSPH, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases and in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a clinical HIV epidemiologist with experience leveraging EHR-based clinical cohorts and claims databases to investigate antiretroviral effectiveness, health care utilization, substance use disorder treatment and outcomes, and comorbidity burden and management. His current research focuses on improving the prevention of cardiovascular disease in people living with HIV. He is the recipient of a K01 Career Development Award from NHLBI investigating barriers to statin use and an intervention to promote statin adherence in people with HIV.
