Tamar Lasky, PhD, FISPE recently retired from US FDA where she served as Senior Advisor on Real-world Evidence in the Office of the Commissioner’s Office of Digital Transformation.
In addition to providing expertise on use of real-world data and evidence in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and providing technical and scientific support to the Reagan-Udall Foundation’s COVID-19 Evidence Accelerator, she led several initiatives to describe issues around real-world race and ethnicity data, most notably the precision FDA, “Making Sense of EHR Race and Ethnicity Data Challenge” as well as an inter-agency initiative to collaborate on data issues around the HHS “test-to-treat” program. Dr. Lasky’s interests include RWD/RWE, maternal and child health, vaccine safety, and racial and ethnic health disparities.
