Montse is a physician, preventive medicine specialist and epidemiologist with more than 25 years of experience in public health, government, pharmaceutical industry environments leading research, teams and strategic initiatives. She has broad experience on the use of observational data sources, study designs and technologies for the study of communicable and non communicable diseases, and for the development and evaluation of vaccines and drugs. She also has a strong record setting up strategic observational research/real-word evidence partnerships and policy initiatives on the application of innovative epidemiological data sources and methods to support regulatory and health policy decisions. Montse is currently Head of Partnerships, Policy and Integrated Evidence Generation (IEG) Office at Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Bayer AG, Germany. She is also a Bayer Distinguished Science Fellow, Fellow of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE) and vice-chair of ISPE's Real World Evidence Collaborative Special Interest Group (SIG).
