Stephanie Leonard, PhD, MS, is an Assistant Professor at Stanford University in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and, by courtesy, the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine. Dr. Leonard is an epidemiologist and the goal of her research is to advance equitable, positive health experiences and outcomes for pregnant individuals and newborns. She is interested in applying transdisciplinary methods to perinatal health research, with a focus on studying pregnancy-related morbidities in large data sources. Currently, her primary research interests include building an infrastructure for distributed data network studies of perinatal health and improving treatment of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy and postpartum. Dr. Leonard's research is funded primarily by the National Institutes of Health (K01HL171699 and U54HD113142).
