Ellie Iob is a trained Epidemiologist (PhD) and Statistician (Cstat, MSc), with over 8 years of experience in designing, executing, and managing observational studies involving real-world healthcare datasets across different therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular disease, mental health, and cancer. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology from University College London and an MSc in Statistics & Quantitative Research Methods from the University of Manchester (UK).
Ellie currently works as a Senior Research Manager at the PHARMO Institute (part of Lumanity), where she is responsible for designing and executing pharmacoepidemiology studies focused on drug utilization, drug safety, effectiveness, and health outcomes. Prior to joining PHARMO, Ellie worked as a Consultant Epidemiologist and Project Manager at IQVIA in London, and as a Research Fellow and Lecturer in Epidemiology and Statistics at University College London and King’s College London.
Ellie has published widely in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has obtained competitive funding from various UK research councils, including Wellcome Trust, the Economic and Social Research Council, and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council.
