Adrienne Chan is a dedicated researcher in pharmacoepidemiology. She holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacoepidemiology from the University of Groningen, as well as a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences from the University of Hong Kong. Currently, she is a Lecturer in Pharmacoepidemiology at Aston University in Birmingham, UK, and has previously worked as a Research Associate at the Laboratory of Data Discovery for Health Limited and the University of Hong Kong. Adrienne’s research focuses on psychotropic medications, exploring their impacts and risks to enhance patient care and inform clinical decisions. She has led multinational collaborations on projects such as the safety of psychotropic medications during pregnancy, psychotropic drug utilisation trends, and orphan drug policy analysis, and various Patient and Public Involvement exercises. Her work has been published in high-impact journals including Nature Medicine, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics, Nature Communications, EClinicalMedicine, and World Psychiatry.
