Kristian Filion is a tenured Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine and of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Occupational Health at McGill University. The overall goal of his research program is to improve health by generating the evidence needed to balance the safety and effectiveness of prescription medicines, with a particular emphasis on cardiometabolic conditions and the medicines used to treat them. He was appointed to the Steering Committee of the Canadian Network for Observational Drug Effect Studies (CNODES), a pan-Canadian network that examines the effectiveness, safety, and utilization of prescription medicines for government partners such as Health Canada.
