CERSI Postdoctoral Fellow
University of California, San Francisco (UCSF)
Jordan is a pharmacist (PharmD) and researcher in pharmacoepidemiology (PhD). Jordan attended Clermont-Ferrand School of Pharmacy in France, where he grew up. This was followed by completing a pharmacy residency with an emphasis on research at the Bordeaux University Hospital. During this time, he pursued a PhD in pharmacoepidemiology, focusing on understanding the characteristics and risks of polypharmacy using national French healthcare claims data (SNDS: Système National des Données de Santé). Enthusiastic to discover new data, Jordan spent a year at Yale as a Fulbright scholar, working with the Veteran Aging Cohort Study (VACS) group to study polypharmacy in US veterans. After his Fulbright, he returned to Bordeaux University Hospital in France as a hospital-university assistant (AHU) while collaborating with the VACS group.
Motivated to expand his knowledge in generating Real World Evidence, he was awarded the CERSI/Gilead fellowship in Regulatory Science. Currently, his efforts are focused on utilizing Machine Learning, Large Language Models, pharmacoepidemiology study designs, and biostatistical methods to predict adverse events and outcomes. This is achieved by analyzing real-world data collected from UCSF and other University of California hospitals.
