I'm Nathan Vidal (he/him), PhD student at the Center of Epidemiology and Health of Populations (CESP, Inserm) in Paris. I graduated in biology and cognitive science. My PhD project aims to assess the features of the prescription contributing to the cognitive side effects of adults with severe and persistent mental disorders. I especially focus on the anticholinergic properties of the treatment, which are common in adult psychiatry and are associated with worse cognitive performance in elderly people. However, the effect of anticholinergic burden has been poorly studied in adult psychiatry. Therefore, my main objective is to assess the contribution of anticholinergic burden to cognitive impairment in bipolar disorders and schizophrenia based on nationwide cohorts of patients.
