Dr. Delphine Saragoussi, MD, MScPH, is Executive Director in the Epidemiology and Scientific Affairs team of Evidera, a business unit of PPD, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, in Paris, France. Dr. Saragoussi is a physician specialized in Public Health and Social Medicine and offers over 20 years of applied experience in epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology.
Before joining Evidera, Dr. Saragoussi served as a global therapy area lead in the Real-World Evidence and Epidemiology department at Lundbeck where she led psychiatry and neurology research. Prior to that, Dr. Saragoussi worked in academic research units and at the French Drug Agency.
Dr. Saragoussi has developed a deep understanding of strategic real-world evidence needs throughout medicinal products’ development and lifecycle. She has developed and implemented various real-world evidence plans to support successful market access. Her research methods expertise covers the collection of primary data as well as the use of electronic databases. It includes natural history studies, burden of illness evaluations, treatment patterns descriptions, PRO validations, real-world effectiveness studies, to support drugs, vaccines and medical devices. Dr. Saragoussi specializes in the design of post-marketing safety studies and generation of real-world evidence to meet regulatory needs, especially in the rare disease and cell and gene therapy space, as well as in the vaccine space. Dr. Saragoussi regularly publishes her works in peer-reviewed journals.
