Theo Beltran, MPH (he/him/his) is a doctoral candidate studying social and pharmaco-epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health, United States. His research primarily focuses on evaluating and measuring how inequities manifest and impact population health. He seeks to measure longitudinal health trends among marginalized populations and how interventions in policy and social settings may reduce health inequities. Beltran is currently completing his F31 fellowship from the National Institute of Mental Health in the United States. His dissertation measures transgender longitudinal mental health outcomes and efficacy of interventions such as antidepressants and psychotherapy.
