Qi Zhang is a Ph.D. candidate in Epidemiology at Emory University, and she is currently a predoctoral fellow at the Center for Observational Research at Amgen, Inc. Her primary research interest revolves around causal inference and pharmacoepidemiology, with a particular focus on development and application of causal inference and machine learning methods to solve methodological problems facing pharmacoepidemiologic research and health care practices, including complex longitudinal data, heterogeneity of causal effects, missing data and unmeasured confounders. Qi is very interested in using real world data to inform drug research and technology development in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. She is eager to interact and collaborate with scientists at ISPE and learn how methodological research contributes to the understanding of disease pathogenesis and the improvement of human therapeutics.
