Jaclyn L. F. Bosco, PhD, MPH, FISPE is Vice President and Global Head of Epidemiology & Database Studies at IQVIA. She is currently the course lead for ISPE Biologics including Biosimlars skills course, an active member of RWE-SIG, immediate past Chair of the Industry-Service Provider Council, and former chair of the Education Committee. Dr. Bosco's of expertise include epidemiologic methods, regulatory use of RWE, and RWE for biologics including biosimilars. She leads ~90 epidemiologists globally who design, implement, and interpret real world studies using primary data collection, person-generated health data, secondary use of existing data, or enriched/hybrid data approaches to support the safety and effectiveness of drugs, biologics, and medical devices from early clinical development through the post-approval phase. She is also responsbile for the end-to-end delivery for complex, multi-country database studies. Dr. Bosco sets industry best practices through external thought leadership as an invited speaker at international congresses and conferences on topics such as generating fit-for-purpose solutions using real-world evidence for regulatory decision-making, teaching courses on the evolving regulatory landscape of RWE and biologics/biosimilars as well as authoring peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on subjects such as pragmatic clinical trials and post-authorization safety studies of biologics. She is a member of RWE workstreams with Duke-Margolis and the Scientific Committee for the Biologics and Biosimilars Collective Intelligence Consortium. Dr. Bosco received her PhD in Epidemiology and MPH in Epidemiology/Biostatistics from the Boston University School of Public Health where she holds an adjunct appointment and was a research fellow at Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School.
