Guiling Zhou is a third-year PhD student in PharmacoTherapy, -Epidemiology and -Economics (PTEE) at the University of Groningen. Her PhD research mainly focuses on the repurposing of existing drugs for the prevention of SARS-CoV-2 infection and the treatment of COVID-19 disease. She is also investigating the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on drug dispensing patterns, such as identifying the effect of the pandemic on asthma treatment patterns. Guiling holds a Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical science from Sun Yat-sen University and a Master's degree in Medical Pharmaceutical Science (Track: Pharmacoepidemiology) from the University of Groningen. She also has experience in HIV medication adherence research and total cholesterol trajectory analysis in diabetic patients.
