Ylenia Ingrasciotta is a pharmacologist, working as Assistant Professor at University of Verona (Italy). She was also a Visiting Research Fellow/Collaborator in the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. In the last years, she has been involved in different projects evaluating drug use, effectiveness and safety in clinical practice using multiple Italian healthcare databases. In particular, she was involved in an Italian Health Minister-funded project assessing post-marketing benefit-risk profile of biosimilars in Italy through distributed database network. She's currently involved in the coordination of an Italian multi-regional project, known as the VALORE project, funded by the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA); it is aimed at evaluating the comparative post-marketing benefit-risk profile of biological drugs, both originators and biosimilars, in dermatology, rheumatology, gastroenterology and onco-hematology, using real world data from an Italian network of claims databases, active surveillance and clinical registries. Moreover, she is currently also the CEO of the Academic Spin-Off "INnovative Solutions for medical Prediction and big data Integration in REal world setting - INSPIRE SRL" of the Universities of Verona and Messina.
