Debbie is a highly experienced pharmacoepidemiologist with a proven track record in shaping institutional strategy in the conception, development and delivery of observational research programs at global level. Key roles have centred on leading the development of protocols and statistical analyses plans for RWE safety studies using large longitudinal real-world datasets, with application of innovative analytical methodologies and study designs. She has a 20+ year career of scientific leadership in RWE studies across networks of collaborators and partnerships with data custodians, academics, industrial and governmental stakeholders. Her contribution as a subject matter expert on medication safety is demonstrated by a portfolio of over 60 publications in specialist journals, numerous presentations at conferences, participation in review of regulatory reflection white papers and chairing working groups on topics such as RWE quality. She holds an honorary chair at the University of Hertfordshire, has editorial committee posts on three scientific journals and is a maintains active engagement within the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE) and the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISOP). She is now the Director of an independent scientific consultancy business.
