Stefan Verweij combines a role as data scientist at the Dutch Medicines Evaluation Board (CBG-MEB) with a PhD at the University of Groningen (RUG), specializing in the use of Real world evidence (RWE) in regulatory decision making. From his regulatory perspective, he studies novel methdologies to increase the quality of evidence obtained from observational studies, for example, applying the target trial emulation framework and test-negative case control design. Besides RWE, Stefan has special interests in AI/ML and data governance.
