Scott P. Kelly, PhD is a Senior Director, Epidemiology Strategy Lead at Pfizer.
Scott leads a group of epidemiologists in the Risk Contextualization and Regulatory Epidemiology group within Global Medical Epidemiology (GME). His group conducts pharmacoepidemiologic studies across all disease indications, including voluntary post-authorization safety studies. His group supports key stakeholders in clinical, medical, safety and regulatory to provide background safety standing cohorts for risk contextualization, observed vs expected analyses for signal detection/refinement, and natural history studies of suspected adverse events, which may include genetic investigation of the mechanism of action or machine learning/risk prediction to identify risk factors for suspected adverse events. Prior to joining Pfizer, Scott had 20+ years of experience conducting epidemiologic research during his time in academia, government, non-profit medical associations and industry. Scott holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University, and an MS in Biostatistics from Georgetown University.
