Brad Hammill, DrPH, is an Associate Professor of Population Health Sciences in the Duke University School of Medicine. He is trained as a biostatistician and has been working to leverage electronic health data for research over the last 25 years. Relevant to his presentations at this conference, Dr. Hammill is responsible for the team at Duke that transforms and manages both the 100% Medicare and 100% Medicaid claims data, within the CMS Virtual Research Data Center (VRDC), for the FDA's Sentinel distributed database. He also works with several large pragmatic clinical trials to incorporate electronic health record and claims data for trial participants into the trial databases.
