I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine in Stanford University School of Medicine working with Dr. Brian Bateman on evaluating the safety and effectiveness of opioid and psychiatric medication use in pregnancy using large samples of publicly and privately insured patients in the US. I received my PhD in clinical psychology from Indiana University – Bloomington, and my doctoral research used Swedish nation-wide data sets to evaluate the the consequences of opioid analgesic and antidepressant medications on risk of adverse birth outcomes and neurodevelopmental problems in children.
