Matthew Muschett is currently a third-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes & Policy at the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy. Leveraging real-world evidence in the form of administrative healthcare and registry data, his current research includes hormonal contraceptive safety and effectiveness with a focus on drug-drug interactions, marijuana for medical use, hepatitis C viral infection in pregnant women, and congenital heart disease in offspring with a specific interest in maternal exposure to teratogenic drugs. Prior to his time with the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy, Matthew graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2021 from the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy, and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavior from Florida Atlantic University in 2014.
