Kevin Haynes, PharmD, MSCE is an Associate Director of Epidemiology at Janssen Research & Development and an Adjunct Scholar and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Dr. Haynes has over 18 years of experience in clinical pharmacy, clinical research, epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, medical product surveillance, medical informatics, and project management. He began at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. in September of 2021 and is currently responsible for providing clinical pharmacoepidemiology expertise to various projects within the Infectious Disease and Vaccine Therapeutic Area within Global R&D Epidemiology. He lead external rapid cycle analytics with multiple research partnerships and the Observational Post-Authorization Safety Study to Assess the Safety of Ad26.COV2.S Using Health Insurance Databases in the United States. He currently supports the immunology portfolio leading internal and external real world data analyses.
He has had extensive collaborations with the Food and Drug Association and served as a site Principal Investigator on the FDA Sentinel Initiative project. Dr. Haynes was also the PI of the HealthCore/Anthem Research Network funded by PCORI and part of PCORnet. Dr. Haynes is a Fellow with the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Raabe College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University, and a Master’s of Science in Clinical Epidemiology degree from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
