Nancy Dreyer served as Chief Scientific Officer at IQVIA Real World Solutions and Global Chief of Scientific Affairs at Outcome Sciences Inc and Quintiles prior to switching from full-time employment to consultancy. She maintains an active practice, working with the biopharmaceutical industry, serving on the Real-World Evidence (RWE) Leadership Team for the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, as a Science and Policy Advisor to the Drug Information Association (DIA), teaching for the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE), and publishing. She also serves as the Chief Scientific Advisor to Picnic Health. She is a Fellow of both ISPE and DIA and is an Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Her primary research interest is to help medical product regulators, biopharmaceutical companies, clinicians and payers recognize when RWE is sufficiently reliable and fit for studies of safety and effectiveness.
