Mingfeng Zhang, MD, PhD, is a pharmacoepidemiology Team Lead in the Office of Surveillance and Epidemiology, Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Her responsibilities relate to leading a team of pharmacoepidemiologists to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of drugs using observational studies and real-world evidence (RWE). She has a M.D. in pediatrics and Ph.D. in epidemiology, along with postdoctoral training in bioinformatics. She’s enthusiastic about developing and applying cutting-edge technologies to enhance the utilities of observational studies in drug safety and effectiveness evaluation. She had 40+ peer-reviewed publications and a NIH funded grant.
