Rosa Gini is a data scientist focused on secondary use of electronic healthcare records for pharmacoepidemiology. Her specific interest is in developing culture and tools for accurate, reliable, transparent and rapic generation of evidence to support health policy making at Italian, European, and international level.
She is the head of the Pharmaceopidemiology Unit of ARS Toscana, a publich research center in Florence, Italy. She is the past chair of the Database SIG of ISPE. She is chair of the Working Group on transparency and scientific independence of the European Network of Centres of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance (ENCePP), a network coordinated by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), and she served as an elected member of the Steering Group from 2016 to 2023. She is the vice president of VAC4EU, an international association bringing together European research institutes with the mission of generating timely evidence on use and safety of vaccines.
