Dr. Jessie Torgersen is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in the United States. She is a Senior Scholar in the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Pennsylvania where her research focuses on the clinical epidemiology of chronic liver disease and HIV infection. Dr. Torgersen is an active investigator within the national Veterans Aging Cohort Study, the Penn AIDS Clinical Trials Unit and Center for AIDS Research where her recent work has focused on viral hepatitis, hepatic steatosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma in people with HIV (PWH) and people without HIV (PWoH). She is the Director of the Penn Center for Viral Hepatitis at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where she provides care focused on acute and chronic liver diseases to PWH and PWoH.
