Dr. Elisabetta Patorno is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Associate Professor at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is Director of the Program on the Pharmacoepidemiology of Metabolic Diseases (PROMISE) at the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston (United States). Dr. Patorno’s work focuses on the assessment of the utilization, effectiveness, and safety of medications to treat cardiometabolic diseases, as used in clinical practice, and on the advancement of epidemiologic and statistical methods to improve causal inference in pharmacoepidemiological studies.
