Vita Brisnik is a pharmacist and PhD student in Germany. As part of an interdisciplinary research training program called POKAL, she is a research associate at the Department of General Practice and Family Medicine at the University Hospital of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. As one of 9 projects included in POKAL, her work focuses on the appropriate use of antidepressants. Her main research focus is on medication safety, particularly psychotropic medications, through observational studies using large electronic databases. She obtained her Master of Pharmacy from the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. Prior to starting her PhD Program she worked as a pharmacist in a community and hospital pharmacy in Germany.
