Jose M Ordonez-Mena is a Senior Medical Statistician based at the Clinical Informatics and Health Outcomes Research Group, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford. Within this research group he leads the cardiometabolic research theme.
He is specialised in the analysis of multiple large epidemiological studies and large anonymised routinely collected electronic health care databases such as the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) and the Oxford-Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Research and Surveillance Centre (RSC) Clinical Informatics Digital Hub (ORCHID).
He has worked across several clinical areas including but not limited to: cancer, heart failure, chronic kidney disease, infectious diseases, and vaccine safety studies.
He is also experienced in meta-analysis methods, with particular interest in network meta-analysis, and coordinates the Meta-Analysis module of the MSc in Evidence-Based Health Care (Medical Statistics).
