Dr. Zacchaeus F. Olofin is a Medical Doctor, Clinical Pharmacologist, Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, College of Medicine, Lead City University, Ibadan, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree and Masters of Science degree in Pharmacology and Therapeutics both from the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. He is currently pursuing his PhD in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan. Dr. Olofin’s research work focusses on Pharmacoepidemilogy of anti-infective drugs (antimalarial and antibiotics), antihypertensive and antidiabetic drugs. He has over 8 years’ experience in the field of Pharmacoepidemiology. He has 2 publications in the field of Pharmacoepidemiology. He has been invited to different seminars and conferences to present his research findings both locally in Nigeria and internationally in Africa, Asia, Europe and America. My PhD thesis is on the ‘Comparative Effect on of Angiotensin Receptor Blocker and a Calcium Channel Blocker on Hypertensive Patients in Ibadan, Southwest, Nigeria. Dr. Olofin has been mentored by some internationally acclaimed researchers such as Prof. Catherine Falade a Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Consultant Clinical Pharmacologist who is the immediate past Director of Institute for Advanced Medical Research and Training, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, Prof. Adebola Orimadegun a Professor of Paediatrics and Child Health and a Consultant Paediatrician who is the present Director of Institute of Child Health, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. Presently, he is being supervised by Prof. Aduragenro Adedapo a Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Pharmacoepidemiology and Consultant Clinical Pharmacologist, Dr. Samuel Ajayi an Associate Professor of Medicine and Consultant Nephrologist and Dr. Okechukwu Ogah a Senior Lecturer of Medicine and Consultant Cardiologist all at University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria.
