Anna Ostropolets, MD, PhD is an Associate Director in the Observational Health Data Analytics team within the Global Epidemiology at Jonhson & Johnson, where she is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of observational analyses for clinical characterization, population-level effect estimation, and patient-level prediction to generate reliable real world evidence for drug safety questions. She began her career as a knowledge engineer working with observational data sets and biomedical ontologies. After completing her PhD in biomedical informatics from Columbia University, she applied her informatics and clinical knowledge at Odysseus Data Services where she led Innovation Lab focused on advancing methods for data quality and visualization and use of ontologies for RWE generation. For the past two years, she leads Vocabulary Working Group in the OHDSI collaborative and leads OHDSI Vocabularies improvement initiative.
