Julie Lauffenburger, PharmD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Lead Investigator in the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Her work focuses on optimizing medications, medication adherence, and prescribing in patients with cardiometabolic disease and older adults using unnecessary medications with observational study designs, predictive analytics and pragmatic randomized trials. Dr. Lauffenburger is also the Associate Director of the Center for Healthcare Delivery Sciences at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
