Katharina Tabea Jungo, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics and the Center for Healthcare Delivery Sciences (C4HDS) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Katharina was awarded a Postdoc Mobility grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation, which funds her postdoctoral research at the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics and the Center for Healthcare Delivery Sciences. Her research interests include the use of high-risk medications in older adults and patients with chronic conditions, novel digital health interventions to optimize prescribing practices, and patient-centered approaches to deprescribing. Katharina earned her undergraduate degree in International Relations and her Master of Science in Global Health from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. She then obtained her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Bern, Switzerland. More recently, she has worked as a team leader and postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Primary Health Care of the University of Bern, Switzerland.
